If you are experiencing persistent or intermittent perceptual disturbances and have not received a diagnosis from your clinician you must see your doctor regarding your condition as soon as possible. This web site will not help you diagnosis your own condition. Important tests that include MRIs, EEG, and eye examinations are neccessary when you first experience perceptual disturbances.
There are many other causes for persistent visuals and
here are an example of possible conditions that would need to be addressed with your doctor: temporal lobe epilepsy , brain tumor, intercurrent
drug use or possible toxic exposure at your work place or
at your home, and migraine sufferers can have persistent or transient visual symptoms. Additionally, some disorders do not begin as a neurological disorder however can affect your brain as they develop including: SLE
[Systemic Lupus Erythematosus], any type of recent head trauma,
intraocular pathology (eye injuries or other possible conditions of
your eye that need to be examined by an ophthalmologist). Other disorders that must be examined wouold be Multiple Sclerosis. which can lead to visual conditions such as
sudden blindness or other visual artifacts
